Apple Music outnumbers Spotify in terms of paid U.S. subscribers: Report

A recent report says that Apple Music has outnumbered the paid subscribers of the most popular music app Spotify. According to the data from one of the digital newspapers, Apple Music has more paid subscribers as compared to the Spotify in the United States.

An expert and market watcher interacted with one of the leading news channels and reported that there was a time when Spotify has the highest paid subscribers but time has changed now, and Apple Music has 28 million paid subscribers, while Spotify, on the other hand, has only 26 million, which are 2 million less than the former app. But considering the overall users including the free members, the Swedish streaming company, Spotify, still has the highest number of users than that of Apple Music in the U.S, the expert said with figures in hand.

Referring to the previous year’s data, the market watcher said that in November, Spotify had 87 million paid subscribers and 191 million total active users globally. The company itself revealed the data during Spotify’s quarterly earnings. While Apple Music in December 2018 had only 56 million users, a leading news channel reported at the time in December.
